A 3 days Rwanda private safari, which starts and finishes in Kigali. This safari takes you to Akagera National Park with its beautiful undulating plains, its woodlands and sprawling lakes and wetlands. The game in the park is steadily increasing, with elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, hyenas, lions, leopards and different antelope. Akagera has a good selection of savannah birds and raptors, and is rich in water birds including papyrus endemics.

Day To Day Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive at Kanombe (Kigali) airport.

Meal Plan/ Accommodation; Akagera Game Lodge , Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner.

On arrival you will be met and welcomed by our representative, who will give you a short briefing about your safari and then drive to the east of Rwanda to Akagera National Park bordering Tanzania. You check in to the service of your accommodation, have lunch, relax around and later in the afternoon you will go for game drive in the park to see a variety of birds and animals such as elephant, giraffe, buffalo, spotted hyena, hippo, lions and leopards among other wildlife. You come back to the lodge in the evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : Game drive and Boat cruise, Akagera NP.

Meal Plan/ Accommodation; Akagera Game Lodge, Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner..

The day begins with an early breakfast and then we start our game drive in the park, searching for wildlife that includes, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, lions, waterbucks, bush bucks, and leopards according to the luck of the day. This normally takes about 2 – 3 hours and we come back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch and later at 3:00pm, we go for the boat cruise on Lake Iheme for yet another but different view of wildlife at close quarters as they come to cool off at the bank of the channel between lakes George and Edward. On this boat trip we are likely to encounter schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, and hundreds of bird species. We later come back to the lodge, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : Transfer to Kigali and departure.

Meal Plan/ Accommodation; No accommodation, Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch.

After breakfast at the lodge, we will do a mini game drive as we check out and drive back to Kigali. We arrive at Kigali in the afternoon and check in to service of our accommodation.
